Doctor's Orders

📋
💊 Vitamin D Drops
400 IU/mL · Give 1mL per day · Continue 12 months (breastfed)
🍼 Formula Top-Up
2 feeds/day · 30–60mL each · Wide-mouth, slow-flow bottle · Goal: hydration + weight gain
🧴 Diaper Cream
Switch to zinc oxide cream · 1–2x/day · Every change if redness
🌡️ Emergency Thresholds
Fever ≥38°C or low temp ≤35.3°C → ER immediately · Measure rectally
Orange/red crystals in pee diaper → ER (dehydration)
⏰ Feeding Guidance
Current feeding is going well. Baby is now above birth weight, so 3.5–4 hour stretches are okay, but keep milk removal every 3–4 hours for supply. Strong letdown/choking at the start of feeds should improve; laid-back positioning is helping.

Ontario 5-in-1 Registration To-Do

📝
Do this in order
Best done with both parents sitting together for 20–30 minutes. One laptop, one phone for email/SMS, hospital paperwork beside you.
1) Gather everything before you start
  • Baby details: Aryaan Junhai Suri, born March 22, 2026, Toronto, Ontario, 3890g.
  • Hospital / birth place name exactly as recorded on discharge paperwork.
  • Name of attending doctor or midwife from the birth record.
  • Both parents’ full legal names exactly as on government ID.
  • Both parents’ dates of birth, places of birth, home address, and phone/email.
  • Credit card ready if ordering the birth certificate during the same session.
  • SIN/benefits questions: have CRA/tax-residency details handy in case the CCB section asks for them.
2) Start the Ontario form
  1. Open orgforms.gov.on.ca/IBR/start.
  2. Click Register now.
  3. Choose the 5-in-1 newborn bundle path so birth registration, birth certificate, SIN, CCB, and RESP referral stay in one flow.
3) Complete the birth registration section
  1. Enter baby’s legal name exactly: Aryaan Junhai Suri.
  2. Enter birth date, sex, birth weight, city, and province exactly as shown on hospital paperwork.
  3. Enter the hospital / birthing centre and attending provider exactly as recorded.
  4. Add parent information exactly as on ID — no nicknames, no shortcuts.
  5. Review every spelling before moving on. This bit becomes the legal record, so sloppy here is expensive later.
4) Order the birth certificate in the same session
  1. Pick the certificate type you want.
  2. For most normal baby-admin use, the standard certificate is usually enough.
  3. Pay during checkout so you do not have to come back and do the dance again later.
5) Add the federal services
  1. SIN: opt in during the bundle so the child’s SIN request is submitted automatically.
  2. Canada Child Benefit: complete the CCB portion if the family is eligible and wants CRA to process it through the newborn bundle.
  3. RESP referral: optional — say yes only if you actually want providers contacting you.
6) Final review + attestation
  1. Read the summary screen slowly.
  2. Confirm spellings for Aryaan, Junhai, and Suri.
  3. Have both parents present if the form requires joint certification / attestation.
  4. Submit and screenshot the confirmation page.
  5. Save confirmation number in Notes and forward it to yourselves by email.
Likely blockers / info still needed
  • Both parents’ dates of birth.
  • Both parents’ places of birth.
  • Exact home address to use on the filing.
  • Exact hospital / birth location wording from discharge papers.
  • Exact attending physician / midwife name from the birth record.
  • Decision on which birth certificate to order.
  • Whether to complete CCB inside the bundle now or handle it separately.
